Will you believe?

Raleigh woman says GPS led her onto railroad

A thirty-five year old Cary County resident abandoned their car on a railroad track after it stalled there claiming that their GPS led them there. The police was able to get the train, that was scheduled to go through there, to stop before hitting the car. The resident was charged with driving while impaired and was ordered to surrender their driver’s licenses, for thirty days, when they refused to take a breathalyzer test.
Here is something else that sounds really stupid to me. This is a good example of how people don’t want to take responsibility for their own actions. This I have to laugh at because it’s one of the dumbest excuses that I’ve ever heard given to cover up what they didn’t want to own up too. It even beats any excuses that I ever tried to use on my parents while growing up and didn’t know better. What gets me the most about excuses is that people actually think that the person, that they are trying to give the excuse too, is stupid enough to believe such bull. It really insults me to be given a really stupid excuse or one at all. Just tell the truth and avoid the humiliation that you are going to get when telling a lie.
It’s not hard to open your mouth and say, “I was drunk and I went out driving when I know I wasn’t suppose too because I was drinking and it’s against the law to drink and drive. My car stalled on the railroad tracks and I got busted.” This person is real lucky that they didn’t get into a wreck and kill someone. That would’ve been worse than just getting arrested and losing your license for thirty days. Not only would you go to jail for a very long time but you would have killing a person on your conscious simply because of your lack of knowledge about the law and how drinking and driving isn’t a good mixture.
